Joris Laarman Lab

This was my major inspiration for going back to school, and inspired me to learn some of the computer aided design theories required for this chair.  A decade before Fusion360 implemented Generative Design, Joris Laarman Lab created a program to design shapes based on material parameters.  While I'm still learning how to implement this type of design process, I did use an aluminium casting process and castable wax to sculpt my own version.  Though its quite crude it felt quite satisfying to have the chance to make something as similar as I could.  One day I hope to make my own iteration of this complex design.
