TRIANGLEÂ CHAIR
Poplar
This chair was part of a 10-day chair making session over a 12-week intensive. It was inspired by mentor and teacher, Tom Dolese. The goal of the chair was to create 3 intersecting angled planes along the back legs, stiles and aprons. These angled planes create an intersection, where if each member is relieved upon the last it creates a triangle one can run his/her fingers over infinitely. I wove the chair seat for the tactile nature and because its an enjoyable process.
